Another CFAJ Mystery - What Does This Pic On Their Website Mean?

I have always been fascinated by Classic 1220 and its three years of testing before it ever got to air. But it still continues to intrigue me about why it even exists at all.

I looked at their home page and found this at the bottom:

"Start your mornings with Niagara’s most entertaining, engaging and most informative morning team, Stef & Danny Zzzz.."

The only problem is that Stef left a while ago and they have a new morning guy paired with Danny Zzzz. You'd think they might have at least updated it.

But it gets even more bizarre. On their "Social Media" section of the site, there's a series of pictures, one of which is, frankly, completely inexplicable.

All country all the time? What do you suppose that means?

Pic was posted April 1.

There was no date on it on their site, so I'm assuming it's a very bad April Fool's joke. Given this station's history, I'm not sure they should be playing around with a format switch rumour.

By the way, has anyone else noted the signal is even worse than usual? I'm in North York and even with the morning pattern change, I can barely get them at all. Have they decreased their power or changed their signal some way? It never came in especially well here, but at least it was somewhat listenable. Not on Sunday.

Agreed it's not the greatest site design, but that social media page on their site is just a gallery of thumbnails to the full posts on their Instagram account (which is probably better than duplicating content or trying to host their own embeds). When you click each image square it takes you to the Insta original post, which would've been posted April 1st. IG's "Xw" where X is the number of weeks ago doesn't help, though.

I'm not an Instagram member so I couldn't look it up there. I have since noticed, though, that it's also on their Facebook page, although you have to dig down to find it.

Yes, I'd think you'd have to have a critical mass who know what you're about before you joke about becoming something else

Re: Another CFAJ Mystery - What Does This Pic On Their Website Mean?

The fact it's still pictured on their website means they either are no longer paying attention or don't care. But then what can you expect from an outlet whose morning co-host moved on to the competition long ago, but is still said to be on their airwaves at the bottom of their home page?

Sauga 960 did this for the longest time on their site, as well, advertising Mike Richards as their morning show host, even after he'd long departed and had some pretty awful things to say about the place. It took months, but they've finally, finally fixed it.

Try their stream...that seems to be a hit and miss deal.
Down as of this writing. Hope they fix the problem soon.

I'm on central Hamilton mountain, noticing reception is mediocre in my area.

Re: Another CFAJ Mystery - What Does This Pic On Their Website Mean?

I was out in Pickering today to have lunch with a friend. CFAJ was almost unlistenable until I got on the 401 at Avenue Rd. Once on the 401 reception improved but still with some minor static. Once I exited the 401, reception deteriorated immensely.
