Host of Employment Law Show Faces Law Society Discipline

He didn't like some online negative reviews so his firm sued some ex clients.
Lawyer whose firm sued ex-clients for more than $1 million faces discipline

Lior Samfiru has acknowledged misconduct and apologized, records show

'A high-profile Canadian employment lawyer is to be disciplined this morning over his hardball tactics against some of his firm's dissatisfied clients, after two of them posted critical reviews online and a third refused to pay her bill.

The Law Society of Ontario alleges that Lior Samfiru was "abusive, offensive or otherwise inconsistent" with professional standards when he threatened to sue, or did sue, three former clients of his firm.'

Re: Host of Employment Law Show Faces Law Society Discipline

Simply love the a-hole, coward lawyers that like to dish it out but can't take it...wondering how this will impact the show on 1010?...probably will miss the next one to let things cool down but I'm betting now that he's apologized, will be disciplined and paying for the time, 1010 will let him stay on as the 'views/opinions expressed on the Employment Law Show do not necessarily mesh with NewsTalk1010'...regardless of the fact that he bullies clients over Google reviews that hurt his poor, little butt...what a pussy move.

It's brokered programming so I assume CFRB will keep him as long as he keeps buying the timeslot.

Same with Corus - which is where they began some years ago.

It seems his clients have nothing to fear but Samfiru himself.

Hey, cut him some slack. As Johnny Cash once noted in his 1969 hit, "Life ain't easy for a boy who can Sue!"
