It's certainly not a job opening you see often. But Audacy has put up the requirements to fill the big shoes of the recently retired John Murphy, looking for a full time announcer for the Buffalo Bills. I think the salary they list is among the most interesting part of the ad:
"The anticipated starting salary range for New York-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $2,000.00-$3,450.00 per play by play announcer shift."
So if I read that right, it's per game, and not a flat paycheque.
Check it out here.

So $2000.00 times 17 regular season games is $34,000.00

Yes, I was surprised at that, too. You'd think it would pay more. I suppose you get extra for the playoffs but still, doesn't seem like a lot when you consider it's an NFL team.

But it is radio. TV play-by-play pays a lot more.

Isn't it on a network of stations? That alone should be worth more.

Decent little side-hustle.
You can look at it this way:
Assuming a 6 hour workday on game-days that's $333 per hour or the equivalent of $649k/yr of full-time work

Not bad for 17 days of work

Anyone have an idea what the HNIC guys are making?

Murphy also has or had an afternoon phone-in show on WGR.

This is a sidebar job, definately would need another as mentioned above. Also it is more than 17 days.
Under responsibilities it also says that you fill in and be available for appearances in the off season, make guest appearances on TV, radio and on line as required, participate in content creation, and post on all social media platforms.
So you will be earning your pay. Bet that game days are longer than six hours.

Here is another Sports Dept hiring. Don't know if this is a +1 or a replacement. Brianne Foley most up-to-date position holder.
Also in CHCH News, Laverne McGee returned to the USA for a commensurate role at WKMG-TV Orlando.
