It was going to happen eventually. And now the dates have been set for the two Trump/Biden debates. CNN will carry the first one Thursday June 27. ABC has the second one on Tuesday September 10. No other details have been decided yet.

Mr. Trump announced that he had agreed to a third debate on FOX. Problem was that a third debate was never mentioned by Biden or his team. So that one is not in the plan. I can see the first one on CNN happening but I am a not as sure the second on ABC will. I think it may depend if the CNN debate has any value for the public. But if it becomes a mud wrestling shout fest between the two then the ABC event could be scrubbed. Smart to have no studio audience, and that mics are cut off when alloted time is over for each speaker.

And then there's anti-Trump commentator Jesse Dollemore who has a You tube channel, and he claims to have sources in the Republican party who say Trump will actually find a way to squirm out of the debates.
He says Republican Trumpers were horrified when Trump immediately agreed to the debates and then added a third one of his own
Their plan apparently was to avoid a debate at all costs.
Dollemore is an ex US Marine who worked for the Democrats in the White House.
