Coming U.S. Streamer May Become A Sports Goliath
They are some heavyweight names in the world of cable and sports. And soon, they'll all be united as one in a major new pay streaming service. TNT, Warner, ESPN and Fox Sports are all combining to start what could become the largest sports service on the continent.
Among the leagues expected to be featured when this thing gets started: MLB, the NBA, the NHL and the NFL.
It's U.S. only and I suspect Canadians won't be able to subscribe. But perhaps TSN and Sportsnet could pick up some of the programming here.
No word yet on exactly what it will be called or when it will debut. But you can bet it will be popular - and expensive. What will it mean for viewers? Likely fewer free games on network TV.
