Former stand up comedian and now media baron Bryon Allen is proposing a $30 billion buyout of Paramount Global.
Paramount Global owns CBS and owned stations like KCBS, CBS Entertainment Group, MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, various streamers like Paramount+ and many more.
The bid is for equity of Paramount Global and for all outstanding debt, which is around $15 billion. More from Variety..

Quite amazing for a guy who started out as a co-host of "Real People" in the 80s. Reminds me of Merv Griffin - another one-time minor celebrity who was able to become mega-rich.
