I have never worked in the broadcast industry but have always had an interest in it. The term radio nerd comes to mind. My question to those of you in or retired from the industry is this. For their time, how realistic were the sets depicting the above mentioned radio stations?

From my recollection of a guy who worked in radio from 1975 to 1988, the WKRP studio scenes were pretty accurate to my experiences.

If you notice, most of the stuff that happened in the show was in the office and off the air. So while it rang true in some aspects, I don't think any major market radio station would survive long if all that craziness was going on behind the scenes.
