A pic of one lies atop the other. In this extensive piece about the late Bob Keeshan - who played kid show host Captain Kangaroo for years on CBS - the author reveals that Keeshan's grandson, Britton  - now a cardiologist at Yale - climbed Mount Everest with the goal of leaving his grandfather's picture on one of the highest peaks, as a tribute to his much missed relative. 

"When Britton was 22 and just out of college, he set out to climb the highest mountain on each continent, which he accomplished in 2004, briefly holding the record as the youngest person to have ever climbed all seven. On the top of Mt. Everest, he left a picture of his grandfather who had recently passed away."

Another revelation I never knew - that famous theme song that's probably still in your head all these years later was actually called "Puffin Billy," and came from a British stock music library. It was also used in a show in the U.K.

According to the piece, this was quite an amazing man who lived a very quiet life off screen and was dedicated to never talking down to the kids who watched him on it. Quite the opposite of your typical spoiled egotistical star. Perhaps forgotten today, but once a TV superstar to some of us. You might call it a "Treasure House" of information.
