I find it hard to fathom this could work as well as this proponent says it would but the people at Xperi - responsible for a lot of auto HD tech - are suggesting that a younger demo might come back to radio if they were offered interactivity.
In their minds, that means being able to play as they go.
"For example, broadcasters could run a “Name That Tune” or “Guess That Lyric” interactive game alongside musical programming or generate a slate of games incorporating local, regional, and national trivia and sports quizzes. The possibilities for creative programmers are endless, and the benefits could be enormous."
The other part of the article I find a bit disturbing is the idea that integrating video into the dashboard is a good idea.
"...the survey showed that today’s younger consumers are very interested in in-vehicle video, going as far as to say it would make them more likely to purchase a vehicle that included it. Video publishers are aiming for the dash and will soon take their place alongside both broadcast and digital audio services."
Sure, what could be better than watching a movie while you're tooling down the 401? What could possibly go wrong?
In-dash gaming — a new opportunity for radio

That reads like a "predict the future" article from 70 years ago.

Interesting article. I read, elsewhere, that that was the last photo taken of the woman while she was alive.

It isn't gaming per se, instead it is a 50/50 draw on Jazz FM. The fund drives lose it's luster and this way of raising $$$ might help.
You can buy a ticket for the February 14th draw! I hope someone on this chat board wins. Here is the link to play.
P.S. I just bought tickets , it was pretty seemless. It is also sanctioned by OLG as well... it is an interesting concept for other stations, (campus stations).
