As December 8th approaches, another day in history that will forever live in infamy, there are new revelations about the murder of former Beatle John Lennon - and the man who pled guilty to the terrible deed that robbed the world of one of its greatest artists.
The new details come in a documentary that debuts on Apple TV+ on Wednesday. Among the chilling findings: Mark David Chapman's last minute inner struggles as he wrestled with committing the killing, even as he awaited Lennon's return to The Dakota, the never before heard recollections of the witnesses who saw the murder happen, Lennon's last words, and some of the reasons the public never heard about why Chapman did it.
I don't have Apple TV+, but if I did, this would definitely be on the watch list. If you do, you might want to seek it out.

I sometimes think about what he stole from all of us and what might have been had Lennon lived.
I hope he-who-shall-not-be-named never gets out of jail.

I will always remember hearing the news of Lennon's shooting from Howard Cosell on Monday Night Football.
