17 Secs. Of A Mysterious Lost Song Has Internet In A Frenzy
It doesn't take much to send the Internet into a frenzy, but this is certainly one way to do it - find a snippet of a mysterious song and then ask if anyone knows who's behind it. The "Name That Tune" in question only has 17 secs. available, supposedly a small sample somebody found on an old disc they'd recorded and asked for anyone to help ID it.
The story behind this search for the lost chords is related at the link below. And while I have no idea who or what this is, I will admit it's kind of catchy.

Sounds to me like it's a jingle of some sort - part of a radio or TV commercial, not an actual released song.

That video is just the same seventeen seconds repeated to fill the video time out. I certainly don't think that's the actual artist that shows up in Shazam either. Somebody probably just submitted the closest thing they know.

The problem with the video at the link is that it's the same 17 secs. repeated over and over and over. It still doesn't explain who it is or where it's from.

Another similar story, this one with a Canadian connection. And this time, after more than a decade and a half, there's an answer.
Internet sleuths looked for the singer of a mystery song for 16 years. They found her in Vancouver

Sounds like something out of the 1980's.
As for Shazam, although helpful it is far from perfect.
