Moment of Silence

What radio stations still observe a minute of silence at 11 am of Remembrance  Day? I was listening to CJRT and was a bit surprised that they didn't. Is it no longer done because of dead air alarms or is it just not a thing anymore?

Re: Moment of Silence

Most stations do it. The silence alarms do need to be disabled.

Re: Moment of Silence

I tuned around briefly near 11 AM. CFRB and AM640 both had the moments of silence. So did CBC Radio 1, CHUM-FM, Q107, AM740, and Boom 97.3. Pretty good representation there.

On the TV side, Global, CBC, CBLT, CTV and CHCH all took time out for live observances. I was somewhat surprised to see City TV with regular programming, along with TVO. I don't believe the OMNIs had anything, either.
