Cue your version of Willie Nelson's "On The Road Again." The Jays' radio broadcast crew, who have been stuck in a studio in Toronto during regular season away games, will be back with the team full time if the Blue Birds manage to get to the playoffs.
The crew, Ben Wagner and analyst Chris Leroux, are the chosen duo to make the trips.
This decision interests me. If it's perfectly acceptable to call the games from a faraway studio during the regular season, then why is it suddenly not good enough when everything is on the line? It's another indication that this is simply a cost saving measure, despite Rogers' occasional protestations to the contrary.
Sportsnet plans to send Blue Jays radio crew back on the road for post-season action

My guess would be the Bell bean counters are not expecting the Jays to advance past the WC round of the baseball playoffs. Certainly not an unreasonable assumption. Flight down and back to Tampa and if the Jays are swept, only two hotel nights are required instead of three.
