As I am no longer on Facebook I would like to give myself a little shameless plug here. This Sunday, July 30th I will guest on CIUT 89.5 on the "Across The Universe" show with Kern Stowar at 5 pm.
Ken has asked me to present an encore presentation of my interview with John Lennon that took place during his Walls & Bridges period; while I was at CHUM-FM. Also, a few pieces of music from Artists I enjoy. Looking forward to it, and thanks Ken for inviting me on your show.

I have plans this Sunday. Will there be an "encore" broadcast at a later date?

They do appear to podcast the episodes on their site. So you should be able to hear it there, once they put it up.

I downloaded and listened to the episode. Enjoyable two hours with a lot of great memories of Toronto radio. Have heard the Lennon interview before but it was a blast to hear it again. Some people on this board will not be happy with his positive comment about our "president."
Had not heard the Ry Cooder track played in many years and it sadly reminded me about what's missing from commercial radio today. Dylan did sound amazing on the 2021 version of When I Paint My Masterpiece.
I know it's impossible to mention all the great local radio talent over the years and you mentioned many of them. I don't believe you ever worked with him but The Live Earl Jive was also a stand out from when FM radio was fun and interesting.

That was great! Anyone who's ever worked in radio has behind the scenes stories that are usually pretty remarkable. John Donabie has more than most.
Whenever anyone asks me about what it's like making a living in broadcasting (to which I often reply, "if you can call that 'living!'") I always say, "it beats working in an office."
Some of John's stories - including the guy who came to the station one night to kill him - prove how true that is. As Bob Hope used to say John, "Thanks for the memories!" That was quite an amazing career.
