I miss him on the radio, but TV is considered a step up.
Joe Siddall Drawing Rave Reviews For His Broadcast Booth Work
Offline
I like Buck in the booth but Siddall is a nice change. He and Dan Shulman are great together. Say what you want about Rogers but their TV broadcasts of the Jays are excellent. Great camerawork with lots of shots from the field with their mini steady cams and of the crowds having fun. Also like when they show people in the new restaurant/bars.
Sportsnets hockey crew is sharp too. Ron Maclean seems to know his music. He always comments on the tune for the opening video that often features something interesting. Last night Enter Sandman by Metallica, and a classic video for the Toronto and Edmonton games last night. The studio announcers and analysts during intermissions also work well together in my opinion.
Sportsnet/CBC will be getting great ratings so far during the NHL playoffs.

Buck and Joe are both excellent.
A catcher -- like a hockey goaltender -- knows the game so well, seeing it from the best vantage point in the sport.
