The Rogers Jays-crew-stay-at-home-for-road-games disease is contagious.
"When the team is away, they call the play from television monitors inside Sportsnet or TSN, depending on which radio station has the game that night.
“It may be a new normal in some markets, but it isn’t normal,” said Nelson Millman, a retired program director at Sportsnet 590 The Fan. “And honestly, it’s not right.”
For now, it's just for Round One. But imagine if the Leafs finally win the Cup on the road - and the broadcast crews are sitting in a studio thousands of miles away. Shameful.
TSN, Sportsnet not sending Leafs' radio broadcast crew on road for first round

It's a terrible move but honestly, for those two sitting in front of a bunch of HD monitors can only help their accuracy. They usually think the refs are screwing the Leafs, when in reality it's almost always even for each team. It will also help Bowen identify opposing players more often.

Big surprise. It's all about the money, Bean counters call all the shots, and their prime purpose in life is to have more beans to count.

Exceptionally terrific header there RA, "Cheap Skates" well pun sir. 👏👏👏
So embarrassing to have your legacy original six NHL team have this ECHL level of monetary support for the broadcast.
Somebody should start a buzz on social media, and the kangaroo court that is Twitter and Tick Tock and pressure them into doing the right thing.

They work for the Leafs. Ownership probably assumes they'll choke in the first round, as usual.
