Wow. Three years in test mode and counting. I hope whoever they hire gets paid more often than that!
So what are those positions? Here's the list:
"We are currently seeking candidates for the following positions: on-air talent, production staff, sales representatives, administrative assistants, and more. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary qualifications, experience, and skills required for each position.
"Responsibilities may include producing and hosting radio shows, creating and editing audio content, selling advertising, managing administrative tasks, and providing exceptional customer service to listeners and clients.
Candidates should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for radio.
Additionally, they should be able to work well independently as well as part of a team. Prior experience in the radio industry is preferred but not required."
That last sentence made me do a double take. "Prior experience in the radio industry is ... not required?" Who, exactly, are they going to hire and still make it sound professional? Methinks the weirdness that is CFAJ won't be disappearing any time soon. Anyway, there's an online application email address here.

Looks like the ONLY on-air gig is morning drive. Whadda-ya-bet that the morning guy will also read the news, do production, answer phones (in the morning) then go out and sell in the afternoon. No experience required!

Maybe they'll just hire RadioGPT and bypass human beings altogether.

Rogers is already testing the system so count on mass layoffs of announcers by summer

Maybe they can do the morning shift on 1220 AM...

Thank freaking goodness! There'll be someone on the air to compliment the music. That's awesome.

They should probably remove that listener count from their player if they want to sell banner ads.

From their newly updated Facebook page. (I just hope they're not talking about their night pattern, which, as far as I can tell, is approx. across the street.)

That nighttime signal comment was hilarious. I have heard them on this side of the lake at night with a listenable [to a DXer] signal. Not consistant though. Mostly a mix with Cleveland.
