60s Sex Symbol Raquel Welch Gone At 82
This isn't necessarily radio or TV, although she appeared on the latter often enough. But Raquel Welch, an unobtainable icon for millions of young teenage boys, has passed away. The actress who became something of the definition of a sex symbol in the 60s and 70s, was 82.
I suppose you could say this about her career- it truly was a Fantastic Voyage.

Before she became a sex symbol, Raquel Welch had a brief career in the media. In 1960, she became a weather girl at KFMB CBS8 in San Diego.
