Gotta love it when the stakes couldn't get higher, and the game is everything you could want it to be.
Announcer Andres Cantor was born in Argentina and his reaction speaks for a lot of soccer fans today.

TSN/CTV did a excellent job covering the World Cup and the riveting final game between France and Argentina. Good commentators and information, and yesterday went over an hour commercial free for the final game. In between the break between regulation play and overtime, they stayed on the field with no commercials until the game resumed play. Others jammed in five minutes of commercials. Ratings were huge for this game, so the lack of advertising was surprising, but nice for the viewer.
Fox commentators were excellent but they didn't carry any of ceremonies after the game. Fox Detroit went immediately to regular programming minutes after the winning goal with something called Sports Stars of Tomorrow.

I am not surprised the regular FOX network dumped their World Cup coverage at 1pm. The NFL is King on Sunday afternoons south of the border. They may have done the post game coverage on FS1.

They didn't go to NFL football on Fox Detroit until 4pm. Don't know why they would jump to a generic show like Sports Stars of Tomorrow which was not football oriented but covered all sports. Whether you like soccer or not, the World Cup is a big deal and to bail so soon after the winning goal was odd. CTV didn't go to their football coverage until all of the hoopla and ceremonies were complete.
