The FCC is considering a request to allow U.S. HD radio stations to boost their power, in order to make it easier to receive the signals inside apartment buildings and other places where the subchannels may not penetrate.
It's far from a sure thing, but while it might solve some reception issues, won't this just increase possible interference for co-channel stations? I'm not so sure that's going to go over well.

Makes sense. Not that we're in their service area, but I find I can rarely get an HD signal on WTSS even when the analog is perfectly clear.
Locally, this could cause issues for Kiss.

The analog signal of WTSS is an absolute monster so that doesn't surprise me.

110,000 watts from an 1100 ft. tower does tend to travel a great distance.
