Dolly Parton said she was planning to do a rock album after she accepted being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for 2022. The ceremony takes place on Saturday November 5th. Others inducted this year will be Eminem, Eurythmics, Lionel Ritchie, Pat Benatar, Duran,Duran and Carly Simon.
The rock album is going to happen and Dolly is hoping to perform with a interesting mix of performers. She will record a version of Stairway to Heaven. Yes, sort of a bluegrass version from 2002. She is hoping to have Jimmy Page and Robert Plant work with her on the updated recording, which she says will be truer to the original from Led Zeppelin.
