The question comes as both the Yankees' Aaron Judge chases Roger Maris' 61 single season home run record and Albert Pujols of St. Louis looks for dinger #700 in his career.
Normally, such milestones would be instantly relayed to viewers via a replay or even a live cut-in during a Jays game. But if they happen on Friday night, those two games are only available on Apple+ as part of an exclusive deal with MLB in the U.S., leading to questions about whether other networks will be able to replay them the same evening, even here in Canada.
It's already affecting some networks in the U.S.
According to the Associated Press:
"When games air nationally, it also means other networks can’t do live cut-ins. ESPN and MLB Network did that earlier in the week when games were only available on the team’s regional networks."
I'm not entirely sure whether that means taped highlights are included or just cutting into those broadcasts live to cover the moment. The good news is the AP notes that the games are being broadcast free and you don't need a subscription to watch the webcasts of those two matches. So you can see them live over the web if you choose to tune in.
Games involving Judge, Pujols only available on Apple TV+

Personally, I think once the game is completed, hilights can be shown anywhere. As far as I know, Apple has exclusivity to the game telecast only. A little perspective on this historical event. Babe Ruth hit his 60th home run in the 154th and final game of the 1927 season. Roger Maris hit his 61st home run in the 162nd and final game of the 1961 season. Purists have always claimed that Maris had 8 additional games to break the Ruth record and should have an * beside his name. Now along comes Aaron Judge, who has hit 60 home runs in 147 games and could break the Ruth and Maris records in less than 154 games. That would be impressive.

If I recall correctly, the movie about Maris' record was called "61*," which deliberately included the asterisk in the title.

The line between "webcast" and "broadcast" is blurring and it won't be long before there's really no difference.
On my TV, the "broadcast" channels are presented as and accessed the same as any other app.
For me, an Apple TV game is cheaper and easier to access than a Sportsnet game, as I don't have that app nor do I subscribe to it. Obviously if I were a bigger sports fan I would, but that would only put both setups on equal footing in terms of ease, with Sportsnet games costing more.

It appears that the only video replays for Pujols 700th are from Apple TV. There are radio replays from various radio stations that broadcast the game.
Personally I despise baseball on Apple TV. The broadcasts are total bush league. For example, when the Blue Jays were on a couple of weeks ago, the idiots were live interviewing Baltimore players while the Jays were up to bat, and half the time ignoring the batter. Sorry, Apple TV baseball is not bush league. Bush league is better.
