Julie Adam

Several people have commented on Ms. Adam's managerial skills in the wake of the Bell Laflamme saga.
Interesting posting on CARTT today (now owned by Broadcast Dialogue's owner).  It's a "standard" firing type of release...."leaving the company" ...."we are grateful for her contribution" blah, blah, blah.   Or is she leaving on her own volition?  HmmmmmmTORONTO – Julie Adam (above), president of news and entertainment at Rogers Sports and Media is leaving the company next month.“After a remarkable career of more than 20 years at Rogers, Julie Adam is leaving the company next month,” a Rogers Sports and Media spokesperson said in a statement emailed to Cartt.ca. “We are grateful for her many lasting contributions to our business and teams, and her innate ability to lead with kindness.”Adam has worked in numerous roles at Rogers Sports and Media over the years having started out as programming director at KiSS 92.5. Her other roles have included vice-president of programming, radio and senior vice-president of radio and podcasting. She has been in her current role since 2020 when she took on an expanded portfolio after Colette Watson stepped down from her role as senior vice-president of television and broadcast operations. (Watson has since returned to Rogers Sports and Media, taking over from Jordan Banks as president in January.)

Re: Julie Adam

When I worked in the office/white collar industry, and someone had left the company, when a notice was distributed explaining the departure, I always looked for the phrase "left the company to pursue other interests"  That employee got sacked/canned/terminated/fired.
