CITY Stanley Cup Simsub

This must have been a last minute decision because it doesn't show up in the on screen guide. None of the other ABC  telecasts have been simsubbed. Why this one? Are they that desperate for viewers? Most Canadian eyeballs  will be on CBC or Sportsnet. One other question. Why is the ABC telecast at least 10 seconds behind the Canadian broadcast?

It'll be because City is receiving and then retransmitting the network feed of ABC where is Sportsnet IS the network feed of Sportsnet.  There would be an extra satellite delay on City.  Also, this strategy makes ense becayse 100 percent of people watching hockey tonight are seeing Rogers commercials, even those watching ABC.

100 percent of people who watched saw Rogers ads, possibly true, *except* for those of us who watched the Sportsnet YouTube channel Stanley Cup hockey game hosted by Steve Dangle 😏😁🏒🥂🍾👏👏👏

Re: CITY Stanley Cup Simsub

Also the delay would be there to prevent any profanity or other such things getting to the US market!   I have a friend working in the truck who says they have someone ready to mute audio or black out the video, if necessary, in case any bad words or visuals happen.  As CITY is getting the feed after this point, they would have that delay.

The Sportsnet feed has no profanity delay and we get to hear all of the language that is on the ice!

Poor you.  A guy screaming and pretending to be outraged for three hours doesn't do it for me.  Just watch it on gem.cbc.ca.  It's free too.
