Steve Paikin and conflict of interest

Earlier this week, TVO defended Paikin after he posted a column sympathetic to Patrick Brown, in the wake of CTV's apology to him, without disclosing that Paikin's wife was the ghostwriter of Brown's memoir, Takedown: The Attempted Political Assassination of Patrick Brown.

Paikin claims he didn't know his wife had written the book!
What do you do when your conflicts of interest are a family affair

He's been skewered on Twitter over this, particularly as his wife's role was a matter of public record, due to a recent court case.

Re: Steve Paikin and conflict of interest

Will this make "Touchdowns and Fumbles" this week? Anybody who's listened to the 1010 roundtables and their PR pundits on what not to do after a major faux pas would know the next step is to stop digging.
