50th Anniversary of Overplayed Excellent Guitar Riff

https://faroutmagazine.co.uk/frank-zappa-deep-purple-50-years-on-from-the-montreux-casino-fire/?s=09

Without a doubt radio jocks have songs they hate (John Moore and Soft Cell's Tainted Love, Freddie P and anything Led Zep for example) and the folks who work in Steve's music store and other places that sell music gear are known to loathe this particular song so much they will wince when they hear it and even lay bets that the newbie who walks in the store and picks up a guitar to "try" will play this riff.

Fifty years. Neat story behind the song. I guess we're getting old. Good riff tho.

One of the greatest rock riffs of all time. A great example  what is missing from today's lexicon.

John Moore also detests Terry Jack's Seasons In The Sun.

That was the other one he doesn't like, I couldn't remember it, it was on the tip of my brain, thanks mace.

That schmaltzy 70's song about Shannon "Shannon has gone.." is right up there on most everyone's please don't make me listen to this list of hated songs, I think it was one of Mike Stafford's as I recall.

John needs to find out what tune Robert Turner hates and return the favour next time Robert plays a bit of Soft Cell as an extro.
