Ann Rohmers short retirement?

She's back anchoring on CP24 tonight after "Retiring" in November

Re: Ann Rohmers short retirement?

Isn't this the second time she's been "retired" and then returned?

Re: Ann Rohmers short retirement?

No I think the first time she simply announced she was leaving for some bizarre job at an airline... which fell through and she quietly came back to the quiet chagrin of coworkers who probably wanted their parting gifts back.

60 ??

Edit:  I just looked it up...she's 58...

Ah....a younger women !!

And it still lists her spouse as Steve Podborski....is that part correct ??

Don't think so....

I thought that ended years ago....and that his now-wife's name was Kathryn...

Re: Ann Rohmers short retirement?

Caught Ann anchoring last night and to be honest there was a great sense of familiarity watching.   If I had access to a pro like her and she was willing to do vacation relief or whatever I'd jump on the chance.

Madness takes its toll.  Please have exact change.

I though I had read (the first time) she was just relinquishing her on-air duties and was continuing with her management role behind the scenes.

Re: Ann Rohmers short retirement?

I don't think they would've thrown such a big farewell for her if that was the case. The coworkers genuinely seemed miffed when she returned very soon after instead of leaving.  Her job was supposedly some kind of air stewardess/hostess for an airline and it's doubtful she could've done any management duties while flying around the world simultaneously.
