CTV/TSN Will Take In About $17 Million From Super Bowl

According to this article, CTV/TSN will be charging an average of $197,150 per 30 second ad in today's Super Bowl.
Lots of interesting info from this in the Globe and Mail...

Not every Super Bowl ad is outstanding. Some are regular ads you would see on other programs. My point is I didn't see one repeat ad on the CBS feed. Can you say the same thing about the CTV feed? I doubt it.

Re: CTV/TSN Will Take In About $17 Million From Super Bowl

CTV had tons of promo for Crave, CTV, CTV Sci-Fi.   Lots of repeated ads, and just a couple I had never seen before.  Actually they usually have more new ads during the Super Bowl, but not this year.  I don't think CTV/TSN came anywhere near to selling out.

However at $5.6 million for each 30 second spot on CBS, not really surprising there wasn't any repeats.  CBS likely took in over $450 million in ad revenue from the game today!  Amazing.

Interesting to see what the ratings are like when they are released tomorrow.

Re: CTV/TSN Will Take In About $17 Million From Super Bowl

So how does this really work?
If a Superbowl party at a bar would normally have 10 screens (or so) on with 50-100 people watching the game, but now those same 50-100 people really do have 50-100 televisions on (one per house) does that count as MORE viewers...even though it's the exact same number of people watching? (just a thought)

Anyway,

Amazingly, CTV actually aired something just before halftime that did not air on CBS.
I am very much impressed.
If you were only watching a CBS non sim sub source, you missed
A REALLY GOOD Pepsi ad:
(it's good to have two Televisions on, one with CTV and the other with a non sim sub)

$17 Million could save some jobs...just saying...

The world would be so good if it weren't for some people...

Personally, the three ads I enjoyed the most were the M&M with Dan Levy, State Farm with Aaron, Patrick and Drake and the Door Dash with various Sesame Street muppets.

He's only showing the edited version of some of the ads though. Not the longer version that aired.
