Two More Radio Legends Lost: One In Detroit, The Other In Montreal

More sad news in what has been an already terrible start to 2021. These names may not mean much to those in the GTA, but we have a number of members who've worked in Montreal or Windsor at some point, and they're likely to remember them.

The first is Jerry Lubin, a major figure in the early days of progressive rock radio in 1970's Detroit, primarily at WABX, but also at other outlets. He succumbed to COVID at age 80.

And ex-Montrealers will remember "Big" Jim Bay, who was the sports director at CKGM for many years, before going into local TV there. He was 79 and had been living in Oakville.

Also more local was the passing of Jennifer Campbell who was with Rogers Kitchener.  She lost a recent battle with cancer, and was way too young.  Heartbreaking news.

Those legendary WABX call letters are with a classic rock station in Evansville, Indiana.
