Larry was the drive home guy on Jazz FM for several years, he was a sax player, music industry manager and had various radio stints at stations like CFNY and CHUM-FM...and was host of "Out of the Blue" on RTDS.
News out today is that he passed away on the weekend.
Here is more background on his passing.
RIP Larry, I for one liked his work and energy.

I have posted my thoughts on this elsewhere but for the record .....
When I arrived at CHUM-FM, it was Larry Green who taught me the board and the formula. In fact I seem to remember filling in for Larry when he was away. (BTW - when I started at CHUM-FM - I was hired as the swing announcer.)
While we didn't hang out together I always thought of Larry as a music person. A very broad and open minded music person. A friend who always smiled when we see each other.
We chatted often but only when we find each other at industry gatherings. And I had heard he had been not doing well for quite some time. Concern.
I truly hope Larry has found comfort. Peace. And real Jazz. Good Night to you Larry. God Speed.

That's too bad. I look forward to giving a classic CHUM FM air check a listen.
