Vintage Rock Radio Station Logos – On A T-Shirt
Few in their right mind would spend $31 plus shipping for a T-shirt (but then, no one said all SOWNY members were in their right minds!) but it sure is fun to window shop at a place called “RaioLogoLand.com.”
This site has been around for years and sells T-shirts featuring vintage radio station logos that have long since been abandoned by the ones that used them. Included is a Canadian section that sports symbols from CHUM, CKEY, CKLW, CKLG and others. The logos also come on sweat shirts, tote bags, coffee mugs, and even mousepads, all for various (and pretty outrageous) prices.
There’s also a ton of choices from the U.S., including KHJ, WABC, WLS, WCFL, WKBW, along with European, Mexican and Australian stations.
You probably won’t want to order anything, but it’s a nice nostalgic trip through yesterday if you have some time to waste. (And for the purposes of full disclosure, I’m not associated with the site or the people behind it in any way. I just find it fun to look at.)

But expensive, if you figure in the conversion to U.S. funds and the shipping costs. If they had a store in Toronto, though, I'm afraid I'd wind up broke! I wear a lot of radio station T-shirts I've collected over the years and my old supply is starting to show signs of age. (Who isn't?)

Yeah. $23 plus 30% exchange [as of today] plus who knows what for shipping would be more than I was willing to spend on a "cool" BIG 8 baseball jersey.

The shirts look okay but if you check their price in CAD$ the price is $34 for the baseball jersey, which would be 48% exchange rate and that is a money grab. I would check to see if they are including shipping for that price. If it is does include shipping then the price would be about $38.40 including HST.
Pricey yes, but the way I look at it, I would just spend the $38.40 something else. And it would be something to wear and enjoy for many years. They made a mistake on the chum logo for 1970, that version is from the early 80's.
