Another Great Gone: Johnny Nash Passes At 80

He was an early reggae star in music, but "I Can See Clearly Now" was his biggest hit. Billboard's obit indicates he also acted in several movies and even owned his own record label at one time.

But the first time I ever heard of Johnny Nash was as the guy who sang the end credits of the otherwise terrible TV cartoon "Hercules," which CFTO used to run in the 60s.

It's been a rough week for music. Eddie Van Halen is gone. Johnny Nash, too. And last week Helen Reddy and Mac Davis shuffled off this mortal coil. They usually come in threes. This time, sadly, it was four.
