All Sirius XM Is Free From Now Until May 15th - No Equipment Needed

Trying to attract new listeners (and distract those stuck at home) Sirius XM has announced it will be free to everyone - even non-subscribers - as of March 31st. Every station will be available without any restrictions and all you need is either their app or you can listen on your phone or PC. The freeview lasts until the middle of May.

RA: Is this offer availed to Canucks? I'm having an issue signing up because it demands a ZIP code only. It won't accept a postal code.

Anyway, I get the free Stingray music channels (200+) being a sub of my cable co. It's commercial free as well.

Re: All Sirius XM Is Free From Now Until May 15th - No Equipment Needed

I went to their website and wasn't asked for a zip code. In fact, it didn't ask me for anything. It did want me to make a choice between Canada and U.S., and it asked me to sign in, but when I ignored that, it just took me to the full range of channels anyway. Theoretically, it shouldn't matter where you are, it's free across North America.

Try this and see if you can get the list of stations provided. I found the connection to get on the page very slow at first, but once it came up, I didn't had any problems.

By the way, I've found that in instances where a U.S. zip is required, the easiest one to use is Buffalo: 14202.

New York City is 10002

Are they asking for a credit card?

I didn't have to enter anything on their site. Just picked a channel and listened.

Re: All Sirius XM Is Free From Now Until May 15th - No Equipment Needed

Best station on Sirius XM is Deep Tracks and they continue to sound good with heritage DJ's such as Meg Griffin.
I also tune into 60's on 6 occasionally and listened to Cousin Brucie's live show on Saturday. He was doing his show from home in "upstate NY" actually not that upstate as he lives in the Hudson Valley. The show did not sound the same as usual. He is not yet set up to take listener calls and that is an important part of his show. Reading FB requests is not the same as live listener calls.

Anyway good for the Cousin to continue being on the radio at this time and at his age.

Couldn't agree more!

Did anyone else see the documentary film "I Am What I Play" when it came out a while back? Meg Griffin, and our own David Marsden, are part of of the group of DJs that are interviewed.

Forgot to mention...I was at the premiere showing at the theatre In Toronto when Dave himself showed up and spoke to the audience.

I want to get my hands on a DVD copy of this film one day. I really enjoyed it
