KD Lang

KD Lang says she considers herself "semi-retired" and may never record new music again."I'm not feeling any particular urge to make music right now," she told BBC Radio 4's Front Row. "The muse is eluding me.

I guess it's just a sign of the times as artists get older.

She has the most under-rated voice.  Incredible singer, however she never really pumped out the hits.

I met KD Lang at O'Hare in Chicago. Chatted with her for about 5 minutes. She was coming back from Nashville and she told me that she had just wrapped up recording with Roy Orbison. 

Here's an artist you don't hear on the radio much anymore, even her hits. She did win 4 Grammy Awards and had multiple platinum albums in Canada, US, Australia and the UK, so she still deserves a little airplay. Her version of Hallelujah is still the best, was number #2 on the Canadian Billboard Hot 100 and you never hear it on the radio. Still deserves a spin once in a while.
