In sports, when the championship goes to a game 7, that it's do or die time, that the teams are evenly matched and possibilities await is really quite special to watch.
Being a baseball fan, I have quite liked Sportsnet's coverage of the playoffs and World Series...keeping it local with Jamie Campbell, Joe Siddall and now with former Twin, Justin Morneau on the in studio panel, Hazel Mae, Arrash Madani and Dan Shulman at the games themselves and for the World Series, Buck Martinez is on the play-by-play team...
I like how baseball has made room for local coverage. To me it makes it worth watching.
Whatever happens tonight, it will be the last game of 2019...
Tune in on Saturday February 22nd to the Fan 590 for the first broadcast of a Spring Training game, live from George Steinbrenner stadium in Florida as the Jays face the Yankees...I can't wait!

With the Nationals winning Game 7 of the World Series last night, that gives Washington their first baseball championship since the Senators in 1924. And we thought the Leafs Stanley Cup drought was long! Hard to believe on May 24th, The Nationals were 19-31 and 12 games out of first place in their division. That is quite the comeback. One other bit of history was made last night. This was the first World Series ever that the visiting team won every game. The home team has one every game in the series three times. 1987, 1991 and 2001.
