Radio observations.

Got a new Grundig yacht boy 420  Radio that picks up a.m., FM, and shortwave. Here are some of fm observations. in Brant  County on the top floor of my house with an FM and shortwave antenna both up.
93.3 Jamestown, New York. Currently listening to the Buffalo Bills game on it.
Mix 97.1 Cleveland, Ohio.
Something on 90.5,  any ideas?
91.3,  something out of the US, any idea?
Every single London station except for free FM.
Actually not picking up most Toronto stations due to Dial overcrowding.

Re: Radio observations.

91.3 if NPR and classical/jazz is likely Erie PA WQLN. 90.5 could be CBC Radio 1 in Crystal Beach near Lake Erie. But other possibilities. 97.1 is actually Ashtabula OH.

I used to live atop a nice hill on Blue Lake Road just east of St. George. Great DX spot - and the dials were not crowded back then (late 1980s).

Re: Radio observations.

I definitely wasn’t around then, I’m only 17. Also picked up the normal channels, star 104 and all those country ones.
Also got some pretty good short wave signals, I can post those two if you want.

Re: Radio observations.

I had a YB-400 for years. The display was dodgy and the pots got scratchy (it also ate batteries like a greedy fat kid eating french fries), but a decent radio overall.

Is there a modern day equivalent?
