The CBC has announced that there will be sixty episodes produced initially and that it will premiere the week of Dec 16th [Tuesday-Friday] at 8pm. The following week, it will move to its regular 7:30pm time slot. The fact that it follows the long running and widely viewed Coronation Street should help its ratings.

It will be interesting to see the first 2020 rating numbers; given the gameshow competition at 7:30 pm is Jeopardy.

Media Observer: You are correct. In most areas of the U.S. Jeopardy airs the show at 7:30pm local time. The local Canadian station that runs the show always schedules its airing to capture the simsub viewers. There are a few markets where Family Feud Canada will not face off against Jeopardy. 1. Atlantic Canada: WBZ Boston available widely on Atlantic cable systems airs Jeopardy one hour behind Atlantic time. 2. Montreal: WPTZ Plattsburg airs Jeopardy at 7pm. Winnipeg: KARE Minneapolis runs it at 4:30pm. Alberta/Saskatchewan: KHQ Spokane airs Jeopardy at 7pm. It will be interesting to compare ratings in the Jeopardy competition/non competition markets.
