Longtime Kingston Rocker Flips To Easy Listening

Talk about a jarring change. There are some members here who know Kingston radio, and they may be interested to hear a longtime alt-rock station has suddenly gone to an easy listening format. 98.9 The Drive is no longer driving the hits - it's now playing those infamous soft light favourites.  

CKLC had quite a history in the city, being a long time Top 40 outlet on AM before moving to the other band in 2007.

98.9 The Drive shifts to easy listening

A lot of Bell stations across the country changed to Pure Country today including Peterborough, Pembroke and Ottawa. There are quite a few

12 Station from Truro in the east to Terrace in the west rebranded existing country stations to Pure Country.
Kingston was the only genre flip.
