I guess CFNY or CIND can retaliate by not playing The Violent Femmes' "Blister In The Sun" for the next 2 weeks.  And Q107 can stop playing Steve Miller.

""Oh Wow" is playing Drake - as in Charlie Drake's "My Boomerang Won't Come Back."

Re: Milwaukee Radio Stn. Refusing To Play Drake During Raptors' Series

This Milwaukee station has been getting a lot of publicity out of this stunt, and with imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, Toronto's Kiss 92.5 has decided to get in on the action.

Kiss FM is responding to Milwaukee's break from Drake by ... not playing Steve Miller Band?

Still, the thing falls a bit flat when you consider that Kiss FM would likely never play a Steve Miller song in the first place.

Perhaps they should go a Drake format. "And now, Ladies and Gentlemen..."

It would be hard to argue against Steve Miller's legit midwest cred, however his fame and notoriety is clearly associated with San Francisco.

Violent Femmes and Gordon Gano are as Milwaukee as Laverne and Shirley, and, well...the subject of one of their hit songs, Jeffrey Dahmer.
