New Subcarrier Appears on WIVB's Channel 4.2

It was a staple of U.S. cable for years and now it's back - the new station replacing Laff TV on Channel 4.2 is Court TV, a network dedicated to exactly what it appears, analysis and coverage of ongoing trials, usually sensational ones.

It's the first time Canadians with an antenna have been able to get a look at this format, since few cameras are permitted in our courtrooms here.

Buffalo News: Court TV returns on one of WIVB's subchannels

It is unfortunate that, for some reason, WIVB refuses to add the CBS produced Decades to a sub-channel.

I agree. I'd love to see that one, but CBS doesn't own WIVB, and as always, corporate interests rule the day.

WIVB / WNLO are both owned by Nexstar Media Group Inc.

Live. Local.

So does that mean that only the CBS O&O's have access to Decades? Or is it available to all CBS affilliates and WIVB chooses not to carry it ?

Odd, WKBW just ran a promo for court tv on WIVB 4.4.

But re-scanned it it is 4.2.
