St. Louis Stn. To Play Same Song For 24 Hrs. Straight After Blues Win
Be careful what you wish for. For some reason, the song 'Gloria' by Laura Branigan (not the Van Morrison-led Them recording from the 60s) has become the official anthem of the St. Louis Blues this year.
The team and the tune have become so popular there that one radio station, KYKY, aka Y98, promised to play it on their airwaves for 24 hours straight if the Blues won their Game 7. It happened Tuesday night and now the place is apparently keeping its word.
It's a stunt, for sure, but I'm not honestly sure if it will cost them listeners over the course of the day.
Nice gimmick, though.
What in the world would someone here have played all day if the Leafs had won?

After last night's performance by the Dallas Goalie Ben Bishop who made 52 saves in last night's loss...maybe the station might want to add this song too!
