I just heard my first Christmas commercial on CFRB. It was for Man Made, the expensive underwear guys.
Nov. 2nd seems a bit early for this to me, now I must go shout at clouds!

I noticed Swiss Chalet running Christmas commercials yesterday on TV.

As I said in another thread, The song I will link below is the only christmas song canadian stations should play before or on remembrence day.
I don't know how to link youtube videos so that the songs play inside this thread and not just show the link.
Could someone help me out with that?
Here's the song.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to do this with your visual impairment, but it's normally pretty easy.
Go to the YouTube page where the video exists and copy the URL, just like you did in the previous post.
Then go to the posting window where you compose your message on SOWNY, and find the "YouTube" logo on the choices right under the word "Message."
Click the "YouTube" icon, and a window opens up. Paste the URL you copied into it and hit "OK." Now press "Preview," right next to the Submit button at the bottom of the window. That should show you your message and the video. Hit "Submit" just as you do when posting a message and it should come up fine online.
Again though, it may prove difficult if you can't see it. I'm not sure what your equipment allows you to "see" and what its limitations may be. If this doesn't work for you, the way you did it in this thread is fine.

After a break from cable TV when our TiVo died on us this past summer, my wife has begun PVRing the new episodes of various primetime shows on the U.S. networks via affiliates in Detroit; we're now using an Epico box from Cogeco, and in Renfrew County, Cogeco doesn't do simsubs. I could have sworn I overheard at least one Christmas ad on one show that she "taped" before Halloween.
Each holiday season since I opened up shop, I've shared with my social media followers a series of "Holiday Throwback Thursday" posts, mostly old Christmas material from southern Ontario TV. One that has been shared more than once is this nice little 1987-vintage ad from Dominion, after A&P acquired the chain and reduced the big "D" to a regional banner in Toronto and the surrounding regions. Thank you to Ed at Retrontario for uploading this spot!

Thanks.
My screan-reader does'nt let me click on logos, so I might just do it the way I know.
Maybe I will test it out.

You very well might have, as I started seeing Wayfair Christmas ads last week a few days before Halloween. I'm pretty sure that this isn't the first year that I've seen Christmas ads in October either, although I don't remember now if they were from Wayfair or another company.

And the festive meal deal spot is running on radio too.
Sidebar: years ago I figured out a "workaround" and ordered my favorite Swiss Chalet meal with a side order of the stuffing, delicious and holiday centric AND no paying for the overpriced chocolate.
There's a number of new Christmas songs out this week that I've checked out on YouTube by established artists but none are memorable enough to post.

No simsubs by Cogego in your area? Nice. I think I read somewhere that if a cable company serves a very small populated area they have the option of not implementing simsub. I could be wrong about this.

Correct. Cablesystems with fewer than 2000 subscribers are exempt from the simsub requirements. Cogeco's subscriber count here in Renfrew (the town) is almost certainly below that number, between Bell subscribers (sat or Fibe), Shaw Direct (or whatever Rogers calls it now) subscribers, and cord cutters, including those using various IPTV systems, legal or otherwise. Bell dominates locally in TV service - something like every third house in our neighbourhood has a Bell dish outside.
My wife was playing a bunch of recorded shows from the last few days, and in a lot of cases, the commercial breaks were loaded with little more than Christmas stuff and pre-midterm attack ads. I'm guessing there will be at least a few more holiday-type ads starting with tonight's shows... and who wants to place bets on when they'll first see a Black Friday spot?

Turns out I just saw one on CTV Toronto's noon newscast. And surprise! It was for Bell's Crave with a special "Black Friday" offer for new subscribers. In the same commercial cluster, there was another one - this time for The Brick.
