Surprised that CTV London/Windsor has live coverage from their studios with anchors and reporters in the field on line.
CTV Kitchener just has an animated graphic with constant updates in Waterloo Region/Guelph.

This happens a lot, but if the polls close at 8, they should close as close to 8 as possible, with only the final few in line getting in to vote. Waiting over an hour (and more) for any results in Toronto is pretty disgraceful.
Are you serious? Everyone who's in line in time gets to vote.
I agree but there has to be a point when those who arrived after 8 PM don't get to participate. The hours are set and they knew what they were. Otherwise you could show up at midnight and still cast a vote. Unless there were technical difficulties that delayed things, there has to be a cut-off somewhere.

Yes, that's how it works.

So far, CP24 seems to have had the best coverage IMHO.

CHCH is doing very well, good graphics, studio guests and reporters at main candidate headquarters. They are also covering a big geographic area from Halton Hills, Brantford, Norfolk, Halidmand counties and all of Niagara region in addition to Hamilton.

Well, I can easily say the highlight of the entire night for me came when Greg Brady said "WNNNNNBC," my all time favourite radio station. I laughed out loud when that came up.

At least their Rogers TV station in Kitchener has actual reporters speaking. It feels like CTV Kitchener must be too cheap to have their anchors or reporters out there covering the election coverage in the Tri-Cites.

I know, it is odd that CTV London/Windsor both have full coverage (simulcast) on line and CTV Kitchener which normally has a better on air product for news is only running with the graphic. No in studio, no reporters, nothing in the field live. They are promoting their wrap up at 11:30 with their late news.

CP24 was very extensive, but very messy. Overly produced with too many needless elements for the on-air staff and control room crew to stumble over. Global was unwatchably cheap-looking in its presentation... hope Bell doesn't fully lean into tacky virtual sets like Corus. CBC was doing its classic dull CBC things. City was sterile and lifeless, zero personality, a sad shell of its former self. CHCH was good!

I think I missed it. Did they say what the voter turn out percentage was overall for Toronto?
It is expected that it will be a lot higher than 2023's 38%, but I wonder how high...

In addition to an already late night, CFRB's Jerry Agar starts his show at 9 AM Tuesday, sharing time with Bill Carroll on the results of the election.
Meanwhile, Deb Hutton gets the day off after fronting the coverage on Monday. She's been replaced for the day by Mark Twohey, who has actually run election campaigns and has worked at City Hall. So his insights could be valauble.

I thought CP24 had the best coverage. They showed the actual vote totals while CBC only indicated the vote percentages. I did not recognize any of the four talking heads on the CBC coverage while CP24 had the fairly well known trio of Moore, Tory and Wong-Tam. I also thought CHCH did an excellent job of covering Hamilton, Halton and the Niagara Region. I always thought Hazel was the all time champion when it came to longevity as Mayor of Mississaugua. 36 years I think. 89 year old Gord Krantz lost last night. He had been the Mayor of Milton since 1980 and a town councillor from 1965 to 1980.

CP24 definitely had the best election coverage by far. Their graphics were excellent, easy to read and constantly updated plus the different region reports worked well. Their talent had it together and presented well and I liked the panel hosted by Liz West featuring John Moore, John Tory and Kristyn Wong-Tam.
The CBC’s coverage was not as good. They didn’t make effective use of graphics and it felt a bit like they were winging it, which I guess can be expected, but they weren’t that good at it. I also felt that they stretched things a bit too much while waiting for the results to start coming in.
I also listened to some radio coverage, which I appreciate being there! I thought CFRB did a not bad job and Zoomer AM740 was lively and very entertaining!

CP24 overall was the best IMO but sloppy at times. I agree CBC seemed to be winging it and not that appealing to watch when I tuned in. CHCH had the least technical glitches. When they went to a remote report, the on air talent was ready and audio was on! Also a nod to CTV London/Windsor for their live stream. They did a full production with everything you would normally see with a regular election broadcast. CTV Kitchener and Barrie went the cheap route with their live stream. CTV Kitchener and their late night recap was well done.

Zoomer did a good job last night.
I think they were broadcasting live from somewhere.
If 740's music format does'nt work out, I think zoomer should go all talk and 640 should be mojo radio again.
Second best, even without moore and vasi was 1010.
I avoided the cbc because they will just praise chow non-stop.
