There may not be a Canadian team in this year's World Series, but at least it's on free TV. (Sportsnet here, but Fox - Channel 29 - in Buffalo down there, which you can get for free if you don't have the sports channel.)
But while Canada may not be present, a Canadian will. Perhaps it will give you an idea of which team to root for. (Although I've gotta say my heart is still with the Brewers...)
It started with hockey, then he picked up a bat. Meet the Toronto catcher headed to the World Series

Two teams that have never won, but have appeared in the World Series. Personally, I think this version of the Brewers will get their first. The original Brewers were a charter member of the American League in 1901. The next year the team moved to St. Louis as the Browns. In 1954 the Browns moved to Baltimore to become the Orioles. After the major league move to St. Louis, a minor league Brewers team was formed and played in the American Association from 1902-52. As for the current Brewer team, they were born as the Seattle Pilots in 1969 before moving to Milwaukee in 1970.
