Movie You Were Never Supposed To See Finally Coming. Watch The Trailer
I first heard about this movie a very long time ago, and Warner Bros. actually spent the money to make it. But the company decided it would be better as a tax write off, so even though it was finished and ready to be released, they shelved it, seemingly never to be seen again.
That was then. Now, at long last, the "Coyote Vs. Acme" film is being released and you can't beat the premise, which made me laugh the first time I heard about it. After years of buying completely useless or defective products from the Acme Corporation in his chase for the Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote takes the company to court, suing them for their horrible inventions.
The story first surfaced in a New Yorker Magazine article back in 1990 and it sounded like so much fun, they made a movie of it. But then Warner Bros. shelved it for years.
That decision has been reversed and now the trailer is out for the film, which you can finally see when it's released on August 28th. I hope it's been worth the wait!

That looks like a movie worth paying to see. Haven't been to a movie theatre in probably 35 years. No movie palaces remaining. Most screens are likely slightly bigger than my tv at home.

The last time I actually ventured out to a movie theatre was 2019 (or was it 2020?). Walked over to the old Regent theatre on Mt. Pleasant to see "Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice" .
The Regent & the Mt. Pleasant were regular visits during my teen years.

It'd be nice if it turns out to be not only financially successful but also good - a hearty 'fuck you' to Warner's goofball business decisions.

Wile-E-Coyote should have called Top Dog Law to get the huge settlement his case deserves. Top Dog baby! And yes, these ads are real.

I was really hoping this thread was going to be about that long-awaited music documentary, which was finally going to have those performance rights released and finally be able to be put on streaming

I’ve been looking forward to this one for a while! It kind of has a Roger Rabbit feel to it and besides, I could use a good laugh or two right now as The Odyssey didn’t quite do it. Acme is meeting its match, finally!

95% on Rotten Tomatoes. Getting generally good reviews from most critics. Makes you wonder why WB shelved it.

There was another movie from the same people who bought the rights to this one, which focused on Daffy and Porky. Yes, I'm planning to see this one too.

The film that Warner Bros. abandoned brought in a very respectable $15.5 million at the box office over its first weekend in theatres. Not bad for a flick execs. there decided should be a tax write off and never seen by anyone.

"Coyote Vs. Acme" is not only a bona fide hit, but it apparently also contains a special message to fans in the end credits, for those who stay to the end of the "movie that was never supposed to be seen."
