There is nothing but static at 640, and a lot of crackling from the thunder outside. But 640 signal's is gone (although there appears to be carrier there) and there's no telling how long it may take before they can return to the air. Their online feed is fine.

If the online feed is fine this suggests the studio is functioning. If the problem is at the transmitter there should be a back up generator if power fails. Most stations have a auxiliary transmitter in case the main goes down. If you are hearing a carrier the problem could be in the audio feed from the studio to the transmitter site, but again most stations have a back up for that too. If you can, please let us know when the signal returns. At one time it was almost unheard of for a 50 kilowatt urban station to go silent.

Don't know exactly when it returned, but the station is back on the air as of 11:14 PM Wednesday. It was gone for several hours.
When I first discovered it, there was no signal at all.
Soon after, the carrier came back but the programming didn't.

Hardly anyone noticed. Most of their programming is static anyway.

The audio came back around 10pm last night. The carrier was up the whole time.
