Interesting how Global had all of these decent local morning shows in various markets across the country as does CTV. But in Toronto and Southern Ontario, CTV only gives us the second rate giggle fest Your Morning which is broadcast nationwide on CTV News Channel. Can we see the weather for Northern Labrador again??

CTV launched CTV Morning Live (Now "Your Morning (city)") out west because a tape-delayted Toronto-centric Canada AM didn't rate at all there. Global and Citytv were performing better than CTV in the mornings until CTVML launched. CTV ended up beating BT in Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver, but is still behind Global. Safe to say that the local Your Mornings have won the morning battle in Saskatchewan and Winnipeg.
Bell probably also doesn't want to produce two competing morning TV shows in Toronto.
Also, in some markets (ie Ottawa) the local morning show is needed to meet local news requirements.

Speaking of Canada AM, does anyone know how Norm Perry is? He was at Newsworld for a few years after leaving Canada AM but I don't think I've heard anything about him since the 90s. I haven't found any obituaries so I don't even know if he's still with us. The brief Wikipedia article on him says his career started in the late 1950s so he must be in his late 80s or 90s if he's still alive.
