A sad sign of what's become of the broadcast networks.

That said, NBC has also revealed its fall schedule and there's a lot more scripted series there. One big surprise - longtime Thursday night lead-off show Law & Order will now follow the spin-off SVU. Another adjustment for City TV.

See the full sked and what the new shows are about here.

Looks like FOX will have a few scripted dramas for mid season.  The Interrogator, an espionage thriller and a new Baywatch both coming early in 2027.  Also last Thursday FOX decided to pick up Canadian produced  Murder In A Small Town for a third season which runs on Global.  The show was greenlit for season 3 in February with no confirmation from FOX that they would be aboard again.  Season three has been filming in BC for a few months now and wraps up in June.  Murder in a Small Town Renewed by Fox - The TV Ratings Guide

I'm happy FOX renewed Best Medicine for a second season. It has a slight Green Acreish feel to it. A big city Boston surgeon returns to his small Maine town he grew up in to become the local area physician where he has to deal with the quirky oddball townsfolk. The fact that he faints at the sight of blood doesn't help either.

Unscripted is so much cheaper to produce but has a short shelf life, that’s probably why you don’t see reality shows being rebroadcasted too often, very much of the moment. I have watched a few episodes but I prefer scripted programming, with real actors!
