First the Rolling Stones release a new album.
Not to be outdone, Paul McCartney has a new video out to promote his upcoming LP. And he has a familiar voice accompanying him on the tune. It's his first ever duet with former Beatle bandmate Ringo Starr.
Ringo just recently released his own video looking back on his life. Now, with more time behind them then ahead, both men seem to be reflecting on their early days before fame came calling and changed everything.
“This was a lot of memories of Liverpool for me,” McCartney told the press, “but also any days we’ve left behind. Everyone’s got them — school, old mates. [The song] has memories of John in the middle, that’s lovely to go back to.”
The new McCartney tune is called "Home To Us," and revolves around his childhood. It's not a bad tune and certainly having the two of them on it won't hurt interest in the new record. "The Boys of Dungeon Lane" will officially be released on May 29th.
It's not exactly "Yesterday" but it's certainly about yesterday.
Again, will any stations here play it?
