Most people remember the 1968 version written by Dolores Clamen entitled The Hockey Theme and performed by the Jerry Toth Orchestra. From 1956-68 the Happy Motoring song was used as the intro. It's only purpose was to promote Imperial Oil products and services. However, the original theme from 1952-56 was called Saturday's Game and was composed and performed by Howard Cable with his orchestra.
